55% of Latvian residents are skeptical about their chances of finding a job

Latvians estimate their future a bit more optimistic than last month: three points instead of two.

The financial situation of their family is estimated by 32% of people as poor. At the same time, 22% believe that their well-being will improve in the future.

49% of respondents believe that the course of development chosen by the country is wrong. 74% of respondents are skeptical about the authorities, and this is two points better than last month.

The assessment of the economic condition fell from -25 to -28, with 51% of respondents believing that it is bad, 41% – that it’s so-so. 49% of respondents believe that there is no change for the better and it is not foreseen, 21% believe that improvements will occur. The index of the forecast of economic development improved by two points and kept at zero.

“Latvian Barometer” of Baltic International Bank is a monthly survey of public opinion and attitudes, highlighting the perception of current topics and phenomena by residents of Latvia. The rating index can vary from -100 (all ratings are negative) to +100 (all ratings are positive).
