The impact of inflation on the telecommunications services industry has been felt since 2014, and enterprises raise their prices almost every year, Neatkarīgā writes.
From May 1, it will be more expensive to pay for services by part of the customers of Tele2, Zelta Zivtiņa and terrestrial television Lattelecom. Since 2015, prices for telecommunications services have grown by about 7%, only in 2017 – by 5%, according to the Central Statistical Bureau.
Tele2 raised prices for part of the services both in 2016 and in 2017. This year, from May 1, the changes will be felt by users of the Zelta Zivtiņa data package, who will be provided more data together with the tariff increase, also it will concern customers of the prepaid card “ZZ draugu”, who will pay 1 euro more a month.
As for Lattelecom, they stipulate the need to increase tariffs by the demand of customers for better quality content.
