The turnover of the shipbuilding enterpris fell down sharply

The turnover of the shipbuilding enterprise Rīgas kuģu būvētava (RKB) in the first half of 2018 amounted to 1.99 million euros – more than 4 times less than for the same period in 2017, according to the company’s unaudited financial report.

The turnover of Rīgas kuģu būvētava for the first half of 2017 amounted to 8.21 million euros.

The losses of the enterprise did not change much: in the first half of 2017 they amounted to 992,587 euros, in the first half of 2018 – 993,790 euros.

This year the suppliers of developments, services and raw materials for RKB were still companies from the countries of Western Europe and the Baltic States, the main customers were ship owners from the Scandinavian countries, Western Europe and Latvia.

The audited turnover of RKB in 2017 was 12.853 million euros; that was 38.1% less than in 2016, losses were 308,216 euros.

The largest shareholder of the company is Remars-Riga, a member of Eiroholdings. RKB shares are quoted on the second list of the Nasdaq Riga stock exchange.
