In the framework of the investigation of the case of large-scale fraud, the State Police officers searched not only in the main office of the company Rīgas satiksme, but also in the 6th bus depot located on 28 Kleistu Street.
As previously reported, the police came to the office on 35 Vestienas Street in the morning on October 1. Investigators conducted their check in several offices.
According to the head of the Department for Combating Economic Crimes, Peteris Bauska, a number of legal proceedings, including a search, were carried out in the criminal process.
Currently, none of the officials or employees of the enterprise has been detained, and no one has been recognized as a suspect. Bauska did not give more detail about the criminal process, but he assured that the investigative actions had nothing to do with the upcoming elections on October 6.
“The actions of the police are regulated by the law, and they are coordinated with the prosecutor,” said Bauska.
