In Riga, in the area around the Press House in the Balasta dambis area, several more high-rise buildings are planned to be built, according to the decision of the Riga City College of Architects.
Representatives of the board got acquainted with the detailed planning presented by the Lithuanian investment fund Lords LB Asset Management, which plans to develop this territory.
The first stage of planning is to be implemented before the end of 2021, because in September 2022 the Holiday Inn hotel should open in the building of the Press House.
At the first stage of development of the territory, it is planned to rebuild the printing house, on the first floor of which there will be a catering area, and on the roof – an active recreation area.
From the side of Valdemara Street it is planned a 14-storey office building, around which the community center will be located. On the territory of Balasta dambis, the construction of buildings up to 24-26 floors high is allowed.
Construction of all facilities is planned to be completed by 2030.
