As Prime Minister Maris Kuchinskis said in the TV program “Morning Panorama”, the joint-stock company Latvijas dzelzcels (LDz) would not receive any additional funding for infrastructure maintenance from the state budget in this year.
According to him, the Ministry of Communications had already held discussions with LDz, on the development of infrastructure. And the final decision was not to provide any additional financing for LDZ from state budget.
“The state has already subsidized enough passenger transportation,” Kuchinskis said.
