After the situations the electronic health system was repeatedly subjected to a hacker attack, the Ministry of Health decided to include it in the critical infrastructure and instructed the Ministry of Defense to monitor it.
Critical infrastructure is understood as a particularly important resource for the state.
Now the Electronic Health -care system will be monitored directly by the State Data Center.
According to Ilze Abolina, an advisor to the Minister of Health for the questions of Electronic Health -care system – there is nothing more important than the personal data of the residents of the country.
The Ministry of Health has been preparing for this decision for a long time. And the attacks simply accelerated the progress. Investigation of these attacks continues, so for now it is worth refraining from any comments.
